Movie Madness

Mom didn't take us to see "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," but she did allow us to check out the ferret scene (the GOF--"Is that a student?" spoiler) online. We were a little disappointed because news in the ferret world made it sound like a much bigger part, but it is a start.

She did buy "The Beastmaster" for us, to make up for it. We want to know why those ferrets make weird noises that no matter how hard we try, we can't make? We can make some of our toys sound like that...

Steps In Skunk Adoption

Mom contacted the Pennsylvania Game Commission to find out the necessary steps to adopting Stinky. I guess without a receipt of sale, it might be pretty difficult to do. To think that ferret ownership was once this difficult!

Anyhoo, here are the procedures for bringing a skunk into the states:

"She will need to contact the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to get the authorization to bring it into the United States. To get that authorization she will need to provide documentation of having obtained it in a lawful manner and that it has all required shots and vaccinations. Then before it can be brought into any state she will need to provide that document to them and get the required permits either from the Department of Agriculture, their Conservation Department or perhaps both.

If it is coming into Pennsylvania and she wants to sell it of give it away she will also need to get a Propagation Permit from the Game Commission before she can get rid of it.

I don't know if it is even possible to bring a skunk into the U.S. from another country."

Hmm, sounds like it may be a tough one...

Rikki is 3 years old today!!!

Harry Potter

Reliable sources have informed us that the new Harry Potter movie: Goblet of Fire will include a scene with frolicking ferrets!

While, of course, we all knew that ferrets are mentioned in several of the Harry Potter books--we had yet to see any in the movies. There are even some sites dedicated specifically to the Ferret/Potter connection.

We hope mom will take us to see it on the 18th (maybe for Banter's birthday--hint, hint), but we aren't holding our breath...

What a Rip-Off!

This is NOT Winzig as the Wolverine Princess. This is not even a ferret from our house...

This is just a picture Aunt D. sent showing mom what we could look like for Halloween. This is what we thought we were getting!

We didn't even get to dress up. Mom was just making fun of how long our claws had gotten.

She trimmed our nails today and said that now that Halloween is over we don't need our long claws as costumes!

We thought we were going to get to go trick-or-treating! What a mean joke!
