Mustelid Manor Memoirs

"Having an aura of menace is like having a pet weasel, because you rarely meet someone who has one, and when you do it makes you want to hide under the coffee table." ~Lemony Snicket~ (from The Slippery Slope)

Ravensnest Ferrets

That big guy could have been our new brother if mom hadn't wasted money on the stinky cat. She promises that she is holding out for either a champagne or black solid sable hob and that when the time is right we'll get our Ravensnest brother. She said that an albino boy might also make an appearance. Meanwhile, we go on year three of waiting...

PS--We are hoping to post pictures of Loki's Christmas visit sometime soon. Mash screwed up our page pretty bad a couple of weeks ago (for those misfortunate enough to have clicked in during that time--we apologize)--thank heavens that Link turned out to be some kind of computer genius and reentered all of our pages codes until it was fixed! But anyhoo, it did take a lot of work and set everything else back a bit--but we promise the pictures will be up soon! ~WoMM~

We do have a little twinge of fear because Mommy said that when we get our brother, he can't be neutered until he's at least a year old (helps prevent adrenal disease--which is what got Sassy). That means that for a while he would be really mean and put pee-slime everywhere + he would be WAY stinkier than a normal ferret...

But Mom assures us that we would only have a year with the big, mean monster ferret and then after that he'll be a big fun snuggler!

We know that she secretly wants one of those boys more than we do--but they are really expensive and she can't afford it at the moment. She just keeps saying when the time is right and the right Ravensnest Ferret comes along...

We'll see.
