Mustelid Manor Memoirs

"Having an aura of menace is like having a pet weasel, because you rarely meet someone who has one, and when you do it makes you want to hide under the coffee table." ~Lemony Snicket~ (from The Slippery Slope)

More Ravensnest Babies

More examples of black sable ferrets from Ravensnest,
where my little black sable guy came from:

RN's Black as Sin (Jill)

RN's Sirius Black (Hob)

RN's The Dark Lord Voldemort (Hob)

I may be a bit prejudice, but I have no doubts that my little guy is the most handsome of all! I will have photos of my new baby (LOTS and LOTS of photos) to post as soon as I can get my computer's virus protection to quit recognizing Photoworks as a threat...

And from PFH's Oscar and SHD's Sparrowhawk of RN...

One champagne point hob kit born 6/25/07:
RN's Gyrfalcon

Isn't he just the cutest?!

They are keeping this little one and I'm not sure I would be quite ready to go through the biting baby stage again just yet anyhow! I have had the same bottle of Bitter Apple for literally years--at that time, it cost $8.99 and was advertised as a taste deterrent for dogs--I bought a bottle last week for $11.99 and this bottle was advertised as a taste deterrent for birds!

Anyhoo, somewhere down the road, a champagne or champagne point from Ravensnest will be added to our family and may even end up being one of the above little guy's descendants!

I went back through my paperwork, I've been waiting three years for a Ravensnest ferret! Can you believe that?!

My new guy is pretty awesome--I have no problem admitting that I am hooked! Of course, I was truly hooked three years ago when I met their one champagne hob, Seamus. :)

Gyrfalcon is super cute, I can't wait to see what he looks like as an adult. I think he almost looks like a hamster in some of those pictures! I'm pretty sure that his father, Oscar, is a descendant of Moose--which may have also been Seamus's father if I remember correctly...

Gyrfalcon wasn't going anywhere - Beth would have never allowed that! Yes, Oscar is Moose's son, and Seamus' half-brother. We think that Falcon is going to look an awful lot like Seamus. Sadly, we lost Seamus this year to kidney failure, so it's kind of bittersweet to see his nephew looking so much like him. Dr. Ruth
